Privacy

What's Next Up is committed to protecting your privacy.

We hate it as much as you do when other people or organisations are careless with your data, and we take all reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized use.

Human-readable privacy statement

What's Next Up needs to store the information about your entertainment interests that you have chosen to share with us from Facebook for the purposes of personalization. We will not share, sell, or rent your data to any third parties or allow unauthorized personnel to access it.

Data Collection

We do not link IP addresses to any information that may identify you.

If you choose to register for What’s Next Up, we will cache data about your entertainment interests – including, but not limited to: your favourite, movies, television shows, artists, books etc from Facebook. We use this information to personalize entertainment events for you. If you do not wish to register, you may still use the website to see the latest entertainment events from our database, albeit in a non-personalized fashion.

This site may contain links to other websites or services. What’s Next Up is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

Usage : Opt-in Information

Apart from the data we collect using Google Analytics, and through your Facebook account, we also collect data you choose to provide to us by several methods including, but not limited to: filling out forms, completing surveys and giving feedback.

Usage : Google + Facebook Account Information

We use Google Accounts for authorization purposes – this is done for your convenience (so that you do not have to remember yet another username/password combination). Google does not share any information with us about you except for your email address. We believe this strategy serves our nextup.users better, as we do not have access to any usernames or passwords that may be compromised in case of a security breach.

We get information from your Facebook account using OAuth. OAuth is an industry-standard secure protocol for exchanging information between web services, and by definition, we are only allowed to access information from your Facebook profile that has been explicitly shared with us by you.

Usage : Anonymous Visitor Tracking

This website uses the Google Analytics tool to understand aggregated visitor behaviour on the IIIT-D website. This is done to understand how we may better optimize the site and it’s layout to satisfy our visitors.

The Google Analytics terms of use specify how information is collected.

You may read the full terms here, or the specific policy below:
